Why We Created Hybrid Whitening Gels (And What Makes Ours Different)

Five years ago, when most whitening systems relied on a single peroxide, Hey Bright introduced something different: hybrid whitening gels.

Instead of choosing between hydrogen peroxide (HP) or carbamide peroxide (CP), we believed the two could work together creating what we call a “cocktail of peroxides.”

Hydrogen peroxide is known for faster, more immediate whitening, while carbamide peroxide breaks down more slowly, allowing whitening activity to continue over time. By combining both, our goal was to create a system that felt stronger, smarter, and more controlled throughout the entire treatment process.

At the time, hybrid gels weren’t common. Now, they’re becoming more recognized within the industry but not all hybrid blends are created with the same intention.

Meet the Hey Hybrid Line

We’ve developed three hybrid blends, each designed for different results and levels of intensity:

Each blend was designed to support a more customizable whitening experience throughout the entire treatment.

And behind the scenes, the process wasn’t instant.

It took four separate formulations to create a balance we truly felt confident in. The goal was never just stronger whitening it was creating a system that delivered powerful results while still feeling controlled, stable, and professional.

What Sets Our Hybrid Gels Apart

Our hybrid formulas aren’t simply about mixing two peroxides together they’re about how those peroxides behave during a full whitening session.

They were designed to support:

• Immediate whitening + continued oxidation throughout treatment
• More even, consistent lifting across the smile
• Greater flexibility when customizing treatments for sensitivity and results

Many professionals also report that hybrid blends help reduce the appearance of fadeback, allowing results to hold more evenly after treatment.

Final Thoughts

Hybrid gels aren’t just a trend  - they’re a smarter way to whiten@

By combining fast and sustained peroxide action, they create a more controlled, customizable, and effective whitening experience.

And for us, it took time, testing, and real-world experience to get it right.
